Through the shade, we watch
The pilgrims, anonymous characters dressed in yellow robes and branches adorned heads, are the red thread of the narration. By the “We” of the title, I imply a parallel between these characters and the spectators, both watching for the event who will be unleashed. Torches in hand as the darkness spreads and covers the image, they guide us towards the highest point of the mountain and the climax of the film.

Characters are drawn and animated frame by frame on the animation software Tvpaint. By using digital tools, I wanted to focus most of the composition and integration work on a way to find the perfect balance between digital and traditional texture inside the frame.
